Missing ECDC Project Selector System Tray Option

I recently updated to ECDC 5.3.2.34b Platinum. I am now missing the Project Selector icon from the Win98SE system tray, as well as the option to turn this on/off within Project Selector. The only options now are (1) About (2) Register your product (3) Help. There used to be an option to display/not display the Project Selector icon in the system tray. There are a lot of complaints about this on the Roxio web site, unfortunately there are no definitive responses from Roxio Tech Support. Anyone know what causes this issue or how to fix it?

I also installed WMP 9 just before noticing this problem. Roxio suggested that I do a clean uninstall/reinstall of ECDC. Everything was fine (even with WMP 9 still on my system) until I installed the ECDC 5.3.2.34 update. The 5.3.2.34b update is only a minor update that adds support for some new drives. It is available as a separate download and is not likely to be the culprit here. At this point, I have been unable to get any additional info/support from Roxio. There are numerous posts about this problem on the Roxio Discussion Boards, unfortunately Roxio doesn't staff their own discussion boards. Smells like an unintended new "feature" to use MS terminology!
