I have installed INCD and updated it to 3.5.24.0 and it says its installed and I get the box stating that the update was successful, I get the INCD logo to pop up on screen at startup and I have the Icon with the explanation in my taskbar, when I right click on the icon all it does is bring up the about box and will not open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a number of times but it always act the same. I am running a Dell XPS-T600, 27 gig hard drive, 256 Ram, Hitachi DVD Drive, and a Sony CRX 100E CDRW. Can someone tell me what is wrong ?[/b][/i]

It looks like your burner is not being recognized by InCD. Well, Ahead's page

http://www.ahead.de/en/index.html#recorder

doesn't say whether CRX100E is supported by InCD, and I couldn't find CRX100E in InCD's database. On the other hand, Ahead's information is frequently inaccurate, so it's hard to guess whether InCD should work with your burner.

Perhaps InCD has not been installed correctly. In addition to the causes mentioned in

http://www.cdrlabs.com/phpBB/viewtopic. ... 4456#64456

there is the possibility that the installer has failed to unpack InCD files correctly, in which case you could try to unpack them manually, and then start the setup program as outlined in step S7 of the InCD troubleshooting guides available in the FAQ's forum (read the version appropriate for your version of Windows).

However, since your burner is old and painfully slow, and 2x discs may be hard to find, instead of wasting time on trying to make it work, you should consider upgrading to a faster burner.
