Powerburn?

hi there... when i use lite-on there's smartburn, and when i use sony dru500a there's powerburn.. does anyone know what is powerburn? is this just a new marketing term or does it really help in burning CDs?

PowerBurn is similar in function to SmartBurn. It prevents buffer underruns and does all the write control stuff.

To make it even more confusing Sony also describes the technology on drives like the CRX220 as being "PowerBurn Compliant". It's not actually Sony's PowerBurn, but something similar in purpose and functionality.
