been trying for 2 days now to figure out this problem with not much luck, maybe you BURNERS can help me out.
The problem is:
i have a file with the extention .bin (supposed to be a svcd file of 769 mb)
I was told to burn it with nero rom (i have nero 5) and burn it as a VCD.
Done that but each time i try that Nero gives an error message:
[ filename.bin is invalid - need MPEG-1 which was encoded for video-cd. The following problems were found:
- stream encoding which is envalid for a[super] vcd
- no video
- no audio ]

i do have the .cue file too.

I tried other proggies like CDRwin (different versions) and Fireburner but both failed me.

If you happen to know how to solve this problem, plz tell me which version of which program to use

PS-- Though i tried to burn the file as a data file but the file was too big for data-burning (i was told that the file came from a cd of 700 mb and 80 min's-- which i have)

Many thx for your help

What you have is an image of another CD, an image of the original VCD.

Did you tried to write from that Image with the proper option? (File>Burn Image)

Or you just tried to create a new VCD using the .bin as the source file?

And now that i think... i don't know if Nero can write from .bin files... i believe that CloneCD does...

Okie dokie...

What you need to do is:

Open Nero (evidently) go to: file -> burn image -> select .bin type files and that's it. It's quite simple and efective...

Nero has this particulairty to put a package with the most comon and non comon functions on one program so you don't need 3 or 4 programs... Of course there are others that do the same and maybe bether but those I don't know... I'de rather go with Nero...
