How do I get Nero and my CD-RW to burn 90 minute CDs?

Hi there,
I've been trying to record some 740 MB of data (old films) on 90-minute CDs that I bought some time ago.
The problem is that, even after I change the "Expert settings" in Nero to 89 minutes - and allow overburning- the damn program keeps saying that I need larger media.
I know for sure that my 52x LiteOn CD-RW supports up to 99 minute CD-Rs, and the media I'm trying to record is definitely 90 minutes each (whatever that is in MB, 800 or something like that).
What the heck? I'm completely baffled...
CD burning gurus! what is the recipe for your success?
