Has anyone found the online help for Nero 6 (it's not in the install file)? I don't mean the manuals available at Ahead's web site.

I think they're still working on the website. Last time I checked you weren't even able to order Nero 6 via the site, you could only purchase 5.5.

i'm not sure what help files your'e talking about, but apart from the pdf manuals on the website, there are the downloadable language packs (so they were called in Nero 5.5).
i didn't see them on the website, but you can find them in ftp://ftp.nero.com/languages/

Ahead used to have a KB/FAQ online for 5.5 if I remember correctly. I think that's what he's referring to.

Actually I did mean the language pack. I looked at the English one on Ahead's german server and saw this:

This is deadly on a 56k modem, so I thought it couldn't be right. But it was late last night and I was tired. A comparison today with other languages convinced me that this is a typo, and I've got it now.

i also thought that's what he had meant.
but just in case i gave the info for the language pack.

MediumRare, must have been some bug.
in ftp://ftp.nero.com/languages/ the English pack N6009ENG.exe is 7398376 byes = 7.055MB.
the German pack N6009DEU.exe is 5.22MB, not too bad even on dial-up.

I find the redesigned web site a lot better! The old one had problems with Opera. Still ahve to find things, though. I picked up what seems to be the KB/FAQ yesterday: ftp://ftp6.nero.com/helptooldt.exe.

i agree, the new site looks a lot nicer!
but still, things could have been organized somewhat better.

the downloads - the demos and upgrades are the same, it's confusing.
InCD appears in the updates but not in the demos.
the plug-ins are separately in the products section.

when i last visited the site and looked for the help file, that page wasn't there. it just wasn't up yet. so i went directly to the ftp server and right-clicked properties.

that 70.55MB typo is also in the english version of the page.
