Problems with the Nero mp3 decoder?

I read that there are some problems with the mp3 decoder in Nero.
http://mp3decoders.mp3-tech.org/decoders_nero.html

I am using Nero 5.5.10.54. The tests are made with Nero 5.0, but i am wondering if it applies to Nero 5.5 too? I want to have my mp3's decoded 100% correctly, and if nero 5.5.10.54 doesn't do that, can you recommend me another decoder? Preferably a program that makes it just as easy as Nero, that can simply load a m3u playlist and decode the files.

By the way, i am still using nero 5.5 as you can see. I tried 6.0 once, but i didn't find any reason to use it instead of 5.5. Would you recommend me to upgrade? What would the reasons be?

Use EAC (Exact Audio Copy) and LAME (3.90.3). Both are free.

Guides

Use "--alt-preset extreme %s %d" as the command line. If space is an issue use the word "standard" instead if extreme. Lowers the bitrate a bit but still produces great quality rips.

CDEX is the best.It's also free.(for mp3)
http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/
I would upgrade to 6.0(nero),it's worth it.Much better than 5.5.More stable. Many more plug-in options and just all around great.

I did not want an encoder! I am already using EAC with Lame 3.90.3! I want an decoder that decodes my mp3s to wavs correctly. (the reason i want to decode them is of course that i wish to write the songs to an audio cd)

CDex can also do that, along with record analog and play ogg.
