InCD 4.1.5.7 does not work correctly

Previously, I had Nero 6.3.0.2 and INCD 4.1.0.0 installed in Win 2000, however, that resulted in the server not found error referenced in a number of postings in this forum.

I recently replaced that installation with Nero 6.3.0.3 and INCD 4.1.5.7.

The server error is gone but there are at least the following problems:

1. INCD icon is not in system tray.

2. Although I can copy/drag files to the CD-RW drive, there are not Format or Erase items when I right-click on the drive in My Computer, there are no INCD entries in the drive's properties and the Eject menu item, though present, does not work.

3. Likely related, but mindboggling is the following.

As I have stated several times over many months, EasyWrite Reader (EWR) version 4 does not support all the drives supported by EWR 3, including some popular drives, a list of which seems to be included in the windows registry.

Because of this, I have to install EWR 3, instead of EWR 4. When I tried this yesterday, I got the following message,:

Title bar: "InCD EasyWrite Reader Installer"

Message body: "InCD EasyWrite Reader works under Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP only."

Well, all I have is windows 2000.

This indicates that the installation program is not properly requesting identification from the OS.

8 days and nobody from Ahead has replied this message?

Says a lot about Ahead's degree of participation in this forum.

P.S. I installed Easy Media Creator 7 on one of the boot systems on my multiboot system. Perhaps, I'll jinx myself, but so far, EMC 7 looks very good, especially Drag2Disk vs. InCD.
