Whenever I try to open Recode now after this fresh installation, I already put my LEGIT serial key into nero 6 ultra, it comes up with the following message:

Code: Select all
Your demo version has expired!

Try this:
Fire up Nero Smart Start;
Click the big Nero button;
Remove the exisiting serial number;
Put it back in.

That solved the older problem with it saying it didn't have the right plug ins; it should fix this, as well. If not, uninstall Nero, and delete ALL of the Ahead entries in the registry. RegCleaner is great for that; however it's hard to find if you dont have it (the new version is no longer freeware. However, the old version still works great!). If you want, I can e-mail you the installer.

Thanks, it worked.

in this case i think Ahead's various clean-tools should suffice.

if not, jv16 is still an option as a 30 day trial.
even after the 30 days i think you can still install it again and use it a very short while before it snuffs itself out.
