Slow packet writing with InCD

I have an MSI DR8-A 8X DVD±RW drive and it comes bundled with Nero InCD 4.0.5.4. While other packet writing software such as Sonic DLA and B's CLiP take about 11 - 15 minutes to backup 2.46GB of data, InCD takes up to 43 minutes! Is there a way to make it quicker? I think I've read about InCD being known to be slower than usual when it comes to packet writing - does anyone know why, or if that's true in the first place?

Updating to InCD 4.1.5.10 should help already (available on www.nero.com for instance). Several 'slugs' have been fixed (not bugs, but slowliness).

I'm not sure if it's common. I heard of it for the first time about a year ago from an english native speaker.

Well, lets hope that the DVD packet writing performance is better with InCD 4.2. I'm getting sick of using DLA for my tests. You guys might complain about support issues with Ahead, but support at Sonic is almost nonexistant.
