INCD Installation Problem

Hello All,

I am not able to install Nero's latest INCD (INCD4300.EXE). This is the first time I've tried to install INCD. I've never used a direct access program. Apparently, software that came with one of my drives installed Veritas and or Sonic Direct Access.

When I attempt to install INCD, the following happens, the file uncompresses, it starts installing and immediately give me a message something to the effect:

"Veritas Direct Access is installed. Please remove before installing."

I have uninstalled virtually every possible program I can find that relates to CD/DVD use. I've searched the system, registry and startup numerous times and removed any and all traces to Veritas, Direct Access, DLA and or Sonic. But INCD still refuses to install.

Is there a switch I can use that will force INCD to load?
What is INCD finding that makes the install think the program is installed?

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

The installer of InCD checks for drivers present on the system. Apparently although you de-installed the software, some driver(s) was(were) forgotten. You should contact Ahead techsupport ( techsupport@nero.com ) providing them an infotool.txt of your system so they can help you to locate the remaining drivers.

InCD restricts the installation to system without other direct letter access software to prevent from conflicts.

As of today, we are currently looking at a 4 working day response time on Emails, based on what I see in our database.
