Installing Nero on Win2k server

Just got a new DVD burner, Everytime we try to install Nero it crashes the system. Never finishes the install, just boom right after it starts copying files.

Anyone know possible issues?

We're also running veritas backup-exec 8.6, which i guess could be the problem.

Backup-exec was giving us issues, and instead of futzing with a new drive/upgrade it would be cheaper just to burn to DVD. We only have about 600-800 mb needed on our daily backup.

Any thoughts? tia

I would recommend using the Nero General Clean Tool to remove the Nero software from your system.

Then uninstall the Veritas software.

And finally use the Nero Registry Cleaner and Driver CleanTool to remove any registry entry's and left over drivers.

Then reboot and try installing Nero 6, as it does support your OS.

You can use the below link to download the Nero Utilities.

i will do so, thanks. My biggest concern was that somehow it supported win2k3 server and not win2k server. I think its veritas as well... and will be able to clean it out tomorrow
