What makes Ahead think that the responses here are really representative of what the vast (silent majority) of users wants, or needs?

Adding such a feature should take a back seat if it would in ANY way distract development/testing of the stuff that really matters.

And who decides what constitutes the "stuff that really matters"? You? Or this mysterious "silent majority"?

Obviously this is Ahead's decision, but they're apparently interested in our input, which includes the opinion that this feature is not considered a priority by some users.

Personally, I'd prefer that they return the ability for me to create long disc titles over spending development resources to close the tray. If the resource cost is insignificant, sure then why not? But if it takes away from fixing existing bugs or development of more useful features, then I vote no. After all, if I'm going get up and walk to my computer that might be 15-20 feet away to swap discs, as someone else suggested  , I might as well close it myself.

1) Minor feature, why the need for a thread? Hoe about you ask a worthwhile question... like would users like the ability to do a customized installation of Nero since most people never use all the components.
2) How about you fix the new compilation naming bug issue that has been around since the introduction of Nero 6.
3) Or better fix the memory error that occurs on 6.6 after clicking Done when a burn is completed.

We are asking this on more than one forum to obtain a variety of responses for this feature.

As for the other issues, such as Compilation Naming bug, Memory error, etc. We do not need to poll this as we know what you want already. :)

We are only interested in this as we have had a few requests for it, and did not personally see a need for it. But wanted to get the opinion of our users before we simply disregard it. Most requests from users make a lot of sense to us, so there is no need to get a general consensus from our users.

And if this feature were to in any way take away resources from more important issues, it would of course be set on a backburner.

We take in all suggestions, and this a team will brain storm and decide what resources are needed to implement a feature, and the practicality of implementing the feature. Along with a number of other considerations.

Regards,

Craig
