HELP! Problems burning DVD Data discs HELP!

I'm trying to burn picture files (in tiff format) to Data DVD-Rom using Nero 6. However it just freezes part-way through and I have to use task manager to 'escape'. It freezes each time, always in a different place.
I know the DVD burner is working since I can burn DVD slideshows using Nero. I can also burn them to CD-R without a problem. Is there a problem using TIFF files on DVD-ROM? The files are all called A1_001 etc.. is there a problem with these file names?
I've tried reinstalling Nero, different discs etc... But still the same thing happens. I am going insane with the frustration. I might be doing something simple wrong since I'm pretty knew to all this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm using Windows'98, Nero 6. My DVD burner is an NEC DVD_RW 2510A.
Cheers
Richard

A data file is a data file. So the TIFF format is not an issue in and of itself.

Do you have trouble writing other data to DVD?

Do you have the latest Nero 6.3.1.25 installed?

Does this fail in Simulation mode as well?

Craig

Thanks for your reply Craig. I've now downloaded the Nero update, and it seems to have sorted whatever the problem was.
