NVE30118 Bug (For Craig)

I captured four MPEG-2 file via WinTV-PVR2(USB) by Hauppauge. I can transcode and burn the MPEGS with no problem with NVE30114. I am using an external BenQ 1620 and it works correctly with both the USB2 or Firewire interface.

The burn fails with NVE30118. The last few lines on the log are as follow: Fails in both USB2 and Firewire attachment. I can provide the full Nero error logs if necessary, just tell me where to send them.

Yes, could you send me the full logs for NVE30118 and the succesful one with NVE30114?

Just send it to me at techsupport4@nero.com

Thanks!

There are known issues with NVE30118 and Recode2.2 that will be addressed in a new Web Release around Jan 20th or a little later.

They are:

1) burn-at-once broken in NVE and Recode
2) NVE freeze when we add *.wav

I'm sure we may find some more before the new web release. We are doing more tests and checking the forums to see what else we may have missed in our QA process.

Regards,

Craig

We have a known bug in NVE30118 when it comes to the 'Burn-At-Once' feature. This feature is not working in our latest WebRelease. Please disable this option, and you should find it will then result in a succesful burn operation.

We have already resolved this bug, and will have this resolution in our next Web Release.

Sorry for the trouble.

Regards,

Craig

Hi again Craig,
Thanks for your advice to take off the "Burn-At-Once" feature. I have tried again to burn some different MPEG-2 files. With the BAO feature on this time the DVD was created correctly.

I turned off the BAO feature and now NVE30118 locks up before the lead-in is finished. My configuration is a BenQ 1620 in an external case with a Prolific PL-3507 ChipSet (11/06/2004) firmware using Firewire interface. Does work with USB2 interface.

Appears there is still a problem with NVE30118...

Hope this helps internal testing...

Hi Beach-hobo,

Yes, our engineers have found a number of issues in NVE30118, and are addressing them now. I do not have a full list of these issues, or I would post them.

We hope to have a new version posted on our website very soon.

Regards,

Craig
