Talk about bloatware!

Also, capitalize the a in 'Audio' and the d in 'Data'.

Burning ROM is very similar to how it was before, just with a GUI change to mix up your mind, but no real new feautres.

I think I'll stick with my Nero 6.

Till Nero 7 is 'officially' released, I can not provide support on it.

And since it's not released, it can't be a legal copy, so I can not assist anyone with it. I can only go so far as provide some insight to what users are seeing.

Sorry. I hope you understand. :-)

Craig

I would have to check the retail box, but I've not seen any programs that are more memory intensive than Nero Recode and Nero Vision, so I doubt that there is a change.

@Craig,

I have another issue for you to address with the Development Team:

NVE4001 has problems, that is, the video and voice are out of sinc. In addition, the video quaility is not as good as in NVE31016.

Tested with NVE4001 and NVE31016. Same two TV shows in AVI format around 400MB each. Use the same media MCC004 on a Plextor 716UF attached via Firewire.

Just a side NOTE, NVE31016 is perfect. It took a long time to get it this way. Now it appears the new version 4001 is going thru the same pains...

B-H

what about the audio cd burning problems with the new nero burning rom. ive noticed skips in playback, after burning. i've tried on 2 different pc's with 2 different burners, get the exact same affect. when i uninstall 7, delete all related files and *.dll's, reinstall 6, works perfectly. anyone else notice this, u can't tell if u don't listen very closely.

I'll take a look into this Audio and Video issue now. I had not seen this in my testing.

@Craig,
On the Video Front - It appears (out-of-sinc) shows up more with AVIs in the PAL format being converted for use in the USA.

I'm not able to reproduce the Audio issue. I've tested with Nero Burning ROM and Nero Express, and the audio plays back fine from Computers and DVD Players.

Now this could be because I am testing a newer version of Nero 7, than what was leaked out to the forums. :D

And I'm not going to waste time testing with an older build. But if you could provide exact steps on how you created the audio CD, such as from Audio Files, what formats were the audio files, how were they created, did you use Normalize on all or some of the files, remove PreGaps?

Now I'm starting the testing for the Video issue, where converting a PAL file to NTSC causes audio and video to be out of sync. I'll be using an MPEG-2 PAL file that is 2gig in size for the source. And I will burn it to the Hard Drive first and test, then I'll Encode again and burn to disc and test.

Regards,

Craig

i used the audio cd wizard with nero burning rom, i tried with FLAC, APE adn MP3 files. i used remove silence from beginning of tracks, but i did not use normalize all audio. i've talked with serveral about this, and i know that it doesnt happen for some people, so it's hard to figure out whats causing it.

I'll try and create the audio CD using your process and the same mix of audio files, but if it's that intermitant, it may be difficult to duplicate, and without being able to duplicate, it makes it difficult to resolve.

Or we get lucky and resolve it indirectly. We'll see.

I just finished my testing with converting the 2gig PAL file to NTSC format, and I'm not finding any sync issue with the Video and Audio. Either when played from the Hard Drive, or when burned to DVD and played back from the Computer or the DVD Player. Again, I hope it's because of the newer version of our Nero 7 software, and not a bug that is intermitant.

Craig

im just curious, what kind of machines do you test on, like you personally?

PostPosted: Sun Oct 09, 2005 8:42 pm

In our US Test Lab, which is where I am doing my testing, I'm using most AMD Test Machines. AMD was very nice to 'loan' them to me for testing with our software.

But I also have generic Machines with the Intel Processors that range from anything from a Pentium II, to Pentium III.

I try to have some very slow machines, some fairly fast Pentium III, and then the very fast AMD systems.

If you would like the exact specs on some of them, I can post a few if you like. :-)

Craig
