another Nero feature request

the burning dialog window (the window that i see when the burn starts, with the reports as it goes along, progress bars etc.) - resizing it doesn't 'stick'. what i mean is that even if i resize it, the next time i burn it's back to the same default size.

i would like the resizing to be remembered.

this should be very easy to implement.

This feature is 'kinda' already there. If you enlarge Nero Burning ROM before you begin the burn, the next time you launch Nero Burning ROM it will remain the same size, and so will the Burn Window.

But if you do it after you begin the burn, it defaults back to the size of the main window.

Craig

OK i see what you mean.
but i want to be able to resize the burning window independently from the resizing of the compilation (main) window.

For Compilation windows it would be also great if the settings would be remembered...

Beside the amount of MB the compilation occupies there should be the exact time displayed - at the bottom of the screen, where the bar is located...

what i mean is:
the resizing/repositioning of the main Nero window (compilation window) is remembered.

Well, the size of its contents is not remembered, i.e. the resized tree section, Name, Size, Last modified, etc.

i'm not sure i understand you. to me it seems like everything is remembered.
are you using Nero 6 ?

As I recall any Nero release doesn't remember these settings.

When you start a new compilation you have usually two windows open inside Nero: ISO compilation window and the File Browser. If you adjust the width of the columns, close Nero and reopen it, settings are not remembered.

well, checked:
Nero does remember if there is a File Browser or not, and the location of the divider between the compilation part of the window and the File Browser.
but like you said, it doesn't remember other stuff - the divider between the file tree and file listings, the column widths etc.

another feature request:
i would like to be able to do the burn verification on a different drive than the burner. somehow to give me the option of verifying on the burner right after the burn ends (like it is now), or ejecting the dics and moving it to another drive on which to verify.

Ok, I'll add these 'Feature Requests' to our database. THough I'm not to sure the ability to Verify on a different recorder is something that our Engineers will be too keen on, but it can not hurt to ask. :-)

Craig

thank you.
i'm sure software engineers aren't keen on adding any new feature. the only thing that can come of it is more bugs :o
