First, I did read the .PDF for NVE3. Pretty good but no indepth instructions or are there any examples given.
I am having trouble cutting scenes from my movies. I move the time line to get to the spot I want to remove, turn on scissors, slide left bar to beginng and right to the end, click on scissor to remove cut. It appears to remove the cut but when I move the time line back over the movie I still see the places I cut.
What am I doing wrong, I know it is probably a simple task, but...?
I am having fun, just hung-up a little.

You are doing it correctly, for the most part.

1) CLick on the Scissors Icon to enter into 'Cut Mode'
2) Choose the SlideBar to set the Beging and Ending of the cut
3) Now simply click on the Scissors icon again to cut all that is currently located between the Start and End scissor points

Now your cut is complete, but you can always undo the cut, or addjust the cut by using the SlideBar. These operations are non-destructive of the original source material.
