Hey, Buckaroos,

I just figgered out how to use SoudTrax to capture to hard drive my old audio cassette tapes so I can burn 'em out to CD-Rs.

It wasn't 100% intuitive and obvious so it took me a while.

So if you need any help in so doing, I am now the self appointed expert and am standing bye ready to help. :D

Good work. Although if you are only recording a single track (stereo or mono) source and don't need to mix multiple tracks, it is probably easier to just use Nero's Wave Editor.

Oh, I think that I might have to go to Wave Editor to chop the end off the last song.
I used Wave Editor a while back to stick some songs together without the dead space but didn't realize that it could do the capture from a Cassette deck.
I see how to chop the track into separate songs, but then I get that 20 sec dead space after the last song if I'm not right here to pull the stop trigger.

10-4, CFitz, using WaveEditor to manually split into tracks is better than the SoundTrax semi-automated, trial and error wizard.

Thanks for the tip.

hi

i use the wave editor to segment songs.you play a song and stop it,play a
song and stop it one by one.it works good that way and is very easy at le-
ast 4 me.
