Nero wouldn't burn an iso file? but could view with MPC!

I downloaded an IMAX-DVD.iso file (3.85GB) and it's a movie file and normally I could use Nero to burn any iso files to disc, BUT not this time? Nero kept telling me it was not an image file? and it got even crazier that I could open/watch the iso file with Media Player Classic! (Ultra ISO couldn't open the file either!)

What's going on? Help!

Thanks.

imgburn or dvd decrypt

if those fail then its not a true iso, sounds more like a rar format that has been zipped/rared

Use IsoBuster to see what it is:
www.isobuster.com/
I suspect the file is an MPEG that has an .iso extension, try changing it to .mpg and see if NeroVision Express, etc accepts it.

Thanks dodecahedron, hoxlund for the "Imgburn" link/info, Imgburn couldn't open it either, however I finally found a small tiny program Daemon Tools 4.03 (1406KB) which produces a "Virtual" drive and I could mount the iso file and view it with any players with full access to the interactive menu in the movie :D .

Hey burninfool, you are good  , as soon as I changed the iso file extention to mpg, all the players could play the movie! (but could not access the interactive menu in the movie however) UltraISO couldn't open the iso file so I didn't bother with WinISO. Yes, NeroVision express accepts the file in mpg extention but would only play (during preview) the first 2 mins or so.

Regards.
