Ry to do these steps:

Installed Nero 7.0.8.2 full functional and Nero Vision also functional (DVD & CD) no problem so far, Nero Record also OK.

NoticeTo Those Having Problem:

Before Installing Nero 7.0.8.2:

1) remove all the existing Nero with Nero Clean Tools

2) manually remove Nero Folder from All Programs under your C drive

3) Find C:\Documents and Setting\UserName\LocalSetting\Temp and delete all files in this temp folder ( This is very important step).

4) Reboote your computer then install the Nero 7.0.8.2

5) During new version installation at the beginning you will see Nero window with "Serial Number" in it try to delete that and have your own valid S/N in that window then proceed with installation.

After installation you should have trouble free installed Nero.

It Don't WORK

I even installed Nero 7.0.8.2. on a clean XP install and I have the same problem. Are you copying and pasting this everywhere? I even saw this same exact reply to someone having problems over at CD Freaks. Nero is as buggy as I've ever seen it. THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE!

Nothing big wrong with this version of Nero (7.0.8.2) you just follow exact step by step in above post then you will see this version is not that bad.

When entering the Lame Mp3 serial number customers receive the following

Message,” the serial is valid, but not for this version”.

This only occurs with a few customers and only in regards to the Serial key for the 'LAME MP3 encoder'. We are trying to find out why those few serial keys have issues, and why only on some systems. Till then, we have a work around.

Quick Work around:

Enter the lame serial number directly into the registry:

Create a new entry in the registry under:

H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ahead\Installation\Families\Nero 7\Info

Right Click on the Info folder Select (New>String Value)

Right click on new string and Rename to “Serial7”

After changing string name, you now must modify the string (Right Click and Select Modify)

Type in your lame mp3 serial number and click OK

Note: If you use any other name than "Nero 7" for the entry the lame serial number will not be recognized by Nero !

Regards,

Craig
