Nero 6.6.0.14 and Photoshop 7 problem?

My Mom has Nero 6.6.0.14 installed on her machine and I tried to burn some music files with some pictures as a data CD burn today at her house and Nero hung at the directory with a bunch of JPG files in them. Now I have to reinstall her Nero to be able to burn any non-JPG data CDs because everytime I pick a data CD the program is locked in that directory position and will not go from it. Anyone know WTF this is all about? Is it that silly Photoshop icon thing where I need to associate JPGs with another program, uninstall Photoshop and then reinstall Photoshop? 
I have Nero 6.6.0.13 installed on my computer with no problems. Of course, I have JPG files associated with IrfanView instead. She even has JPG files associated with Windows Picutre and Fax Viewer, but the Photoshop icon still appears in the her directory. I didn't have time to mess with it before I left her house today, but will try to fix it the next time. Thank you.
