Just purchased a Sony DRX830U DVD Writer and need help copying DVD-RAM Discs (made on a Panasonic Recorder) to a DVD-RW or DVD-R disc. The DVD-RAM recordings are made in the VR format. I know I need to covert them to the Video format in order for them to play in all DVD players, but I'm not sure how.

The Sony writer came with Nero Version 7 bundled software.

It has been a few months since I did this but I believe you just need to use the Import function in Nero Vision. This will get you the VOB files that you will then need to burn back on to a DVD. I used a DVD-RW in VR Mode which I believe is the same.

The alternative method was to install InCD then just copy file files from to a directory using Windows File Explorer. From there you can use Nero Burning ROM to and start a DVD-Video project and drag the VOBs into the project and burn. Burning ROM will alert you if you are missing files or have the wrong structure if you start with a DVD-Video project.

Sorry I cannot give you a step by step but do not own a DVD RAM.
