After getting windows vista my nero essentials wouldnt load. I downloaded a trial version from Nero's website but am unable to burn anything.
Everything appears to go as normal until I click to burn and then the log says this...
Failed to read from the file VTS_01_1.Vob

Any idea at all?
And thanks in advance.

If something, anything that had been working and quit working after installation of Vista,
I'd restore my XP installation and ask for a refund on Vista.

Its not Vista. The latest version of following works without any issues in Vista: AnyDVD, CloneDVD. CloneCD, AnyDVDHD, Nero Ultimate Edition, Roxio ECM 9, DVDFab 3.08, DVD DECRYPTER, IMGBurn 2.2, etc......

It sounds to me like you are trying to copy a protected DVD without having stripped the protection out yet. You need to provide more info so the forum members can be able to better understand what you are trying to do and thus better help you.

How silly of me to think that it was Vista.

I inferred that everything was perfectly peachy prior to "getting windows vista."

Lesson: Be sure to get the latest version of your application software before upgrading the OS.

Better yet, when one reads of the issues arising during Beta testing one should wait for a while after market place release and then sees of all the problems that people have had with Vista after marketplace release,
one would be prudent to buy with only a 100% return for full refund if not completely satisfied and no questions asked return policy.

Outside of that, I always buy used cars without taking them for a test ride. :P
