Silent space added to audio CD after burning

Hi, I have been using a Lite-On DVDRW SHM-165H6S Drive that came with Nero Burning ROM 6.6.1.6. When burning some MP3's to an audio CD, several seconds of silence is added after each track. I timed the silence and it appears that the silence lasts as long as the song. So if I have a 3 min song, 3 min of silence immediately follows the track. The burning process takes about four times longer compared to the same time length of songs using other MP3's. The "questionable" MP3's play fine in Media player. I can burn other MP3's fine on the same PC using Nero. I can burn the "questionable" MP3's on the same PC with the same drive using Media player and they are fine. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. I prefer using Nero. Thank you.

This only occurs to certain MP3 audio files, not all?

Have you set the Pre-GAP to zero? Or if you are using Nero Express, check the option for 'No Pause between tracks'?
