Compiling DVDs into blu-ray?

I have tons of DVDs of anime series and TV series. Even if I tried to transcode them aggressively to dual-layer DVDs, I still have too many DVDs. With the capacity of blu-ray, I'm thinking of compiling 1 full season/set into 1 blu-ray disc. Is this even possible at this point?

The requirements, of course, is a blu-ray burner, but can transcoding software like Nero/Nero Recode do this now (burning your own blu-ray video disc)? I don't need HD, since the source will be DVDs. Basically, just like compiling your own DVD in Nero Recode, I want to the same but with blu-ray disc, which translate to more capacity. I don't want to spend money on a blu-ray burner if this is not doable yet.

Supposedly it can:

I'm curious to know too if it would leave the video at its native resolution.

In the Nero Vision software you can choose under Video Options if you want to use MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 for the codec. So your content can be kept in it's native resolution and format.

Nero Recode does not at this time support BD or HD DVD drives directly. This will hopefully come at a later date when there is a need.

Nero Express and Nero Burning ROM will only BD and HD DVD data burns.

Thanks. Bummer. I was thinking in recompiling all the DVD boxsets I have into 1 bluray per season of a TV show.... I guess I can save my money from buying a blu-ray burner. Oh well, hopefully Ahead can update this without forcing us to buy Nero 8 or something.
