Why do I sometimes get this error message in Nero??

When beginning the burn of a new disk with Nero I sometimes get this message : "There has been a possible read error. Do you want to continue anyway? "I always say "yes" and the new disk SEEMS flawless. It's just a little concerning that something is not completely acceptable to the program since I cannot verify that the information on the new disk is, indeed, accurate and intact. Has anyone experienced this? Any thoughts on what's going on?
Using: Win2k, Nero(latest),40x12x48 aopen CD-R, lite-on dvd-cd rom. Thanks for the thoughtsd, Bill

I got that in 5.590 too.
I went back to 5.582 b/c I couldn't stand those messages.

This message goes back for a number of Nero 5.5 releases. It's indicating that your source drive had trouble reading the CD with the source data, though it was able to recover from the read error. It warns you as it's possible the data written to the CD could be corrupted due to the read problems, or you coulg get a buffer underrun during the write due to read problems, if it's not able to recover from the read error fast enough.
In most cases you can simply ignore it, but you should be aware of it if your CD does turn out to not work after it's been created.
Most cases, cleaning the source CD first resolves this issue.
But it can occur with source data from a Hard Drive as well, though very rarely.
