Hello
- I just bought a Samsung 48x CDRW and am running it with Nero 5.5 on a Celeron 433 running 256 RAM.
Had a lot of coasters from buffer underruns finally managed to burn an audio CD after a few coasters but the problem now is the front of the song gets cut off such that when you play the song, the first part you hear is already the middle of the song. Could anyone tell me what to do to put things right? I'm burning .wav files.
Thanks a lot. Jo

Do you have the latest Nero 5.5.9.17 installed?

This only occurs with the WAV files? Never any other audio files? Or when you do a CD to CD Copy?

Regards,

Craig

Hello:
Thanks for the help - I found out what was wrong was my IDE settings.
It was primary master / slave for the hard disk / CD-ROM and secondary master for the CD-RW - this did not work well.

What I did:
Used a newer IDE cable (the old one has been in the machine alone for 2 years! ) and changed the settings to
primary master - hard disk
secondary master / slave - CD-RW / CD-ROM (as per Samsung's instructions).

Now its working but I'm not burning beyond 4x speed cos the machine is a celeron 433 which is about min. config speced for the CD-RW.
