Hello,
I have a LG GCE-8480B CD writer. When I put x40 CDs in the drive, Nero limits my writing speed to x40. How can I cancel this option?
Using Nero 5.5.9.14
LG x40 CDs
Windows XP Pro + SP1
10x,

I dont think that is possible with the LG drive!
Your CD-writer detects the media as 40X, that is a option that is integrated in your LG drive.
That option cannot be disabled with the LG drives!!

In Nero:
Recorder-> Choose Recorder, then click the Options button at the bottom.
Just disable SmartBurn (or whatever the LG's equivalent is)....

Hey,
First of all, 10x a lot.
Unfortunantly, cancelling to buffer underrun protection didn't help. If it's really the the LGs problem I'm pretty f***ed up.

Hmm..ok. On my Lite On drive, I can turn off SmartBurn but not buffer underrun protection. SmartBurn is what ID's the media's max. speed...
