I cant upgrade InCD from version 2.33.1 to 3.51.91 using the download from the nero website. When I try I get the message:

An error has occurred while creating the directory process
(Directory name: )
Please check the path and try again

after I accpet the licence agreement.

The current version of InCD was installed from the CD that accompanied my Mitsumi CR 4809 TE CD-Rewriter. I have been able to upgrade Nero Burning ROM to 5.5.10.0.

My PC is running Windows 98SE. The CD-Rewriter is on the secondary IDE cable with DMA enabled.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers

try to uninstall InCD, and then install the downloaded version from ahead.

try to uninstall from the control panel, if that doesn't work run the InCD installer/updater (the download from ahead's website) and choose the uninstall option at the beginning.

Thanks that seems to have worked. I was under the impression I had to update over an existing InCD installation otherwise I would get a time limited demo.

Cheers

no.
when you run the InCDxxxUP.exe file downloaded from Ahead's website, it determines if you're entitled to have InCD (that is if you have a working copy of Nero installed). if you already have InCD installed it updates it, if not but you have Nero it installs it anew, a full version of InCD not a demo.
