I am using Nero Burning Rom 5.5. I have just backed up a data CD in Joliet format as an image file. How can I add more files into the image?

Thanks!

Mark

An image file is normally an exact copy of a CD(-ROM), hence the "image" term. As such, it is not a standard procedure (or normally possible) to add additional files to an already created image file.

There are a couple of disc image file utilities that can add files to and edit an existing image file. Both are shareware and may not provide full function if not purchased.

See WinISO and UltraISO.

Understand that you cannot add files to the image after you have burned it to a CD-R. If you want to edit this image (i.e., add or remove files) you must first EXTRACT the image to your hard drive. Then use one of the tools mentioned by Inertia as they will allow you to edit the image you have extracted.

When you finish adding/removing files to this newly created image you can then burn it to a fresh CD-R.

If you want to make a CD-R that allows for burning new data files periodically then you must creat a multi-session cd, NOT an image. If you need help with this then post back.
