NORTH BRIDGE BURNING UP!! HELP!!

i need serious help
i have the msi k7n2-l, and the north bridge has reached a rec of 136 deg. F (about 58 deg C!! when i touch heat sink(passive) it like touching boiling water! also, i have a AIW 7500, which is also passively cooled, right under n/b and runs hot as well. this never happened to me before... what do yall think the problem is?

I don't know if you are overclocking, but hot Northbridge heatsinks on the MSI K7N2-L nForce2 Motherboard are not unusual.

You might consider a supplementary fan blowing air over the heatsink or a well ventilated computer case with extra fans.

In the meantime, have a ham sandwich and enter nirvana++. :lol:

You can replace Northbridge cooler wiht Crystal orb cooler from Thermaltake or similar product like that.

Yeah,

at the Micro Center in Minneapolis they had a display system (windowed case of course.) and they had the crystal orb cooling the north bridge. The Crystal Orb is a great idea if it will fit on your motherboard, it won't fit on all motherboards.
