For any sort of Hard Drive, Maxtor is the way to go.

[mimics]I like Maxtor, just 'cause. I have nothing whatsoever to backup my statement.[/mimics]

Speaking of HD, go to storagereview.com and check out their in-depth report on virtually all the newest HDs on the market by major HD manufacturers.

My suggestion is to get the best internal IDE HD and put it in a 3.5" firewire or USB2.0 enclosure, depending on what your system supports.

Stoner, maybe Aviationwiz has used many Maxtor hard drives of different types and found them to be reliable.

I would recommend Maxtor, too, because I have found them to be reliable in my systems.

Stoner, think before you talk.

I've used Maxtor drives for quite a long time, and they are incredibly reliable. I once even had a Western Digital Hard Drive, and WD would not give me support for thier own HDD! I then called up Maxtor and explained the situation, and they were glad to help!

Reliability, and good Customer Service. What more could someone want? Oh yeah, thier fast, and they perform well.
