i saw a Duron XP 2000+ BAREBONE KIT
ECS K7SOM+, S.462 motherboard
ATX Deluxe MidTower 300W for $125.00 online including shipping
but
i never heard OF DURON CHIP GOING UP AS HIGH AS XP 2000+.
WHAT'S IT'S CLOCK SPEED AND IS IT A GOOD CHIP COMPARED TO THE REGULAR ATHLON XP 2000

It's either an Athlon XP 2000+ or a Duron of lesser speed. There is no Duron XP 2000+, to my knowledge.

its an ecs product

its actually a duron 1.2 or 1.3 fhz (morgan core)

overclocked to 1.6g, but its very fast and stable,i had used that system, very good for a secondary system or a quiet barebone.

Its very good at that price.

BUT it does not have AGP SLOT,

Hi

The performance is on par with athlon xp 2000 in everyday use, very stable (even on win98 sec edition) , very cool compare to the athlon xp 2000 + the processor temprature hovers around 38-40 degree centigrade on stock cooler after extended use of 4-6 hours straight in a room temprature of 34 degree centigrades,

DONT expect it to be fast enough to compete head to head with ATHLON XP 2000 in gaming it will be around 20-25 percent slower thanks to the 100 mhz bus of duron and 64kb l3 cache compare to 133 bus athlon xp and 256 kb l3 cache .

I can assure you that no celeron can catch it in 3dmark and gaming performance when pared with same graphics card and same amount of memory. even the 2.8ghz, i had compare them head to head
