Only difference between these is the bottom one has onboard video right? I clicked the product link to the top one and it says that it can do raid 0 and 1
any other suggestions would be appreciated as long as you dont suggest ECS. :P

As long as you're sure that the first one supports RAID, they both look identical other than the onboard video to me.

My advice, stay away from Aopen. They're a Tier3 manufacturer for a reason (Tier3 isn't a good thing to be BTW). Featureset and bundle shouldn't be the biggest driver for a motherboard purchase.

I'd recommend sticking to Abit or Asus.

OK, Here's what I want, SATA, IDE, Firewire, P4 800fsb, at least ddr400, 8xagp, maybe GB lan.

I'm using Epox boards without any trouble.

With what your looking for this fits the description.

I'm planning on getting a new motherboard soon as well (Looks like my current one is screwed). The one I'm planning on getting is the Asus P4S800D-E (SiS655TX chipset) which should be out soon. It's on par with Intel's 865/875 chipset sets and includes what you want and more.

Compatible with the Prescott CPU, 800FSB, dual-channel DDR400, AGP 8x, 5 PCI slots, 1 WiFi connector, 1 Firewire, 4 USB 2.0, GB-Lan, 2 SATA connectors, 2 IDE (primary & secondary), 6 channel audio with S/PDIF Out, etc.

Here's some reviews:

I'd have to disagree. Their boards aren't as popular with the overclocker crowd. However, they're rock solid. I can't say as much for Abit.. who's outsourcing production to ECS (tier 500 IMO).

True, I wouldnt say that Aopen is Tier 3, but i am a bit nervous after a CD burner and Headset problems from Aopen. But I have 3 friends who are very happy with them and 2 of them are OCer freaks.

Wow, that's the first I've heard of this! If they continue that, I'm not sure I'm going to be buying too many Abit boards in the future.
