Music system suddenly not working when connected to the comp

Hi guys,
I moved our music system from main hall to my computer room yesterday to connect to the computer system. The music system is a Aiwa 3 VCD changer 3700W PMPO system with 2 satellite and 2 normal big speakers. It has Line Out,MD and Line In/Aux connectors at the back.I connected the computers soundcard to the music systems Line In and then enjoyed the music that my old 600W computer speakers didnt offer. The music system has DSP built in.I was simply awed by the clarity...
When I started both the systems today morning,I didnt hear any music except static. And that humming is all I could hear.I tried reconnecting the setup,in vain.I changed the cable thrice with no effect. When I connect the music system to the TV,I can hear everything from the music systems speakers. So the music system is not the problem.I tried connecting to the MD connector, but in vain.
Nobody came to my room from yesterday, and I had myself listened to the music before shutting down the system. There is no sound output from the music system's speakers when I connect it to the computer.
So,can anybody help me in this? The sound card is an onboard with only 3 jacks, for speakers, line in and mic.
I have rechecked the connections for thousand times and I am getting mad now...
Please help me guys...

did you try reinstalling your media player?

Hi Turkeyscore.com,
Sorry,I forgot to mention that.I have Media Player 9 latest version,WinAmp 5.01 full version(not the pro one) and latest PowerDVD 5.0.1107.There is no output from the music system's speakers. But when I disconnect the music system's cable from the computer's soundcard, and connect the old 2.1 system,I can hear everything very well.
I cant just think where the problem is.If there was a problem in the beginning, then I shouldn't have heard music first time itself.
See ya later,

pranav81 - Do you have another device to plug into the "line in" jack of your soundcard to make sure the line in is functional and also make sure you did not mute it or lower the volume for "line in". Not sure what else to advise.

Dear music_lover,
Hi.Thanks for the tip.I will do that when I go home and let you know on the forum, probably tomorrow.
Hi lightningbaron,I checked the sound card.Line In,Mic and Line Out works without any problems.I tried connecting a walkman to the music system and it plays fine. When I connect Line Out of the sound card to the music system all I hear is humming and nothing else.
I am just wondering, how did the system work the first time? :-?
See ya guys later,
