IDE Controller card?

Hello, currently my motherboard only have two IDE slot which has been use up by my 2 HD (1 60 gig) and (1 80 gig).. and dvd-rom and cd-rw recently i'm running out of room for my movies..i just bought 2 300 gig maxtor 10 and a dvd burner.I have no more IDE slot to connect it to my friebd tell me to get and extra IDE card but was wondering configure using RAID 0 but i don't know anything about installing or configuring raid 0 and what's it purpose.. can anyone give me any suggesttion on what i should do...or just go with the ide controller card?

RAID 0 is not worth it.. it involves using 2 or more *identical* HDDs to increase speed:

Go with teh IDE controller card, if you just want to add extra storage.

Go with a SATA hard drive. SATA is a better alternative to IDE because you should have better performance with it. If your motherboard doesn't have SATA built-in, you can get a SATA card.
