What do you guys think is the best way to clean off an LCD screen so that it looks good as new? Like a solution or something that'll really do wonders, and not damage it.

Anyone know of anything?

I'm referring to small LCD screens like on a PSP or BlackBerry, etc.

Most of the displays I have around here are of the lcd type so it is important on finding a way to clean them with out degrading them

Well in an answer for your question it depends on if the lcd is bare mylar or protected with some type of Polycarbonate

For bare lcd I use a micro fiber cloth and a isopropyl alcohol solution that I make (70% distilled water and 20% alcohol)

For polycarbonate protected lcd (as the one on the psp) use a micro fiber cloth and distilled water

On both types only use very limited amount of liquid and force (use one wet cloth and one dry one)

ive used these in the geek squad, they are excellent

if you go over the screen then let it air dry, then repeat about 10 times it looks crisp, clean and new

its one of the only things ive found that works on x-brite screens like the sony, toshiba laptops or just sony flat panel monitors with tru-brite (x-brite)
