I like mine. Much better than the D600 I had before it.
To check the warranty, go to
http://support.dell.com/ and enter the Service Tag.

From what my friend said, he won this laptop through a contest at work.
(that must to nice to win something that cool) =)
inputted his service tag and this is pretty much what it spat out
Description Provider Start Date End Date Days Left
Initial Next Business Day UNY 11/21/2005 11/21/2006 171
Extended UNY 11/21/2006 11/20/2008 730
Does this mean its still under warranty?
What does the "extended" mean?
is "initial next business day" like getting the part the next day/serviced?
is the warr. trasferrable?
with all this, is it possible to give me an estimate on a price on this used unit ($US) (sorry for all the questions)
Can I play somedecent games on it too? =P
Thanks Ian and everybody who replied.

Yes

The basic warranty is only a year. Dell extends it an additional two years to give you a 3 year warranty
>>is "initial next business day" like getting the part the next day/serviced?
Yep.
>>is the warr. trasferrable?
Good question. I don't know.

I'm not really sure what the going rate is on used laptops. Looking at eBay, you can get similarly equipped D610's for less than $700. With the warranty it might be worth more though, that is if you can transfer it.

It has integrated video so no, probably not. I have the Radeon X300 in mine and it won't play the latest and greatest.
