No password or special software is needed.

Offering true plug-and-play convenience, the Fingerprint USB Flash Drive is compliant with USB 2.0 with a full-speed transfer rate of up to 480Mbps, and is also compatible with USB 1.1. No external power or battery is needed, as the unit is powered by a USB port on any compatible desktop or laptop computer. A power-saving mode reduces power consumption.
The RIDATA Fingerprint USB Flash Drive works with the following operating systems: Windows(R) 98SE/ME/2000/XP; Linux(TM) Kernal 2.4 or later; and Mac(TM) OS8.6 or later. Users for Windows(R) 98/98SE may download required drivers from www.ritekusa.com. The new flash drive features a read access speed of up to 9MB/sec and a write access speed of up to 8.3MB/sec.
