Advanced Media Announces New Ridata Brand 266X Compact Flash Card

New CF Cards Offer the Ultimate in High Performance for Digital Photographers and Mobile Device Users

Diamond Bar, Calif., December 3, 2007 - Advanced Media, Inc., manufacturer and marketer of the popular Ridata brand of recordable DVD, flash media, electronic storage products and digital accessories, today announced the availability of its ultra fast, new 266X Series of 2-16 GB capacity Compact Flash memory cards. Depending on the device used, the card virtually eliminates data lag time.

The non-volatile memory card features dual channels of data throughput to achieve the high-speed read of 266X (approximately 40MB/per sec). The card also offers low power consumption with automatic power management. It conforms to the CompactFlash Association Standard and is compliant with CF spec 4.0.


The CF card is designed to be compatible with most devices and operating systems including PC card Standard, PC card ATA, and true IDE Mode. It also is compatible with host ATA disk I/O BIOS, DOS and Windows file system, utilities, and application software. The controller supports Ultra DMA Mode up to Mode 4. CIS is implemented with 256 bytes of attribute memory. The CF cards also support 8 or 16 bit host transfers with any host speed using IORDY and has Error Correction Code (ECC) embedded. Apart from faster speeds, Ridata Supreme cards are very durable and can withstand operating in humid or extreme temperatures ranging from below freezing to high heat.


Ritek CF cards are designed to be reliable, featuring a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of five million powered on hours. They are compatible with most portable devices with a CF slot, such as digital cameras, video cameras, pocket PCs, notebook PCs, industrial controllers, embedded systems, PMP and other multimedia devices.

*Regarding CF cards that are 2GB and over, consumers are cautioned to use the cards with devices that support FAT32 file system. Some devices only support the FAT16 file system and can only use a maximum capacity of 2GB CF card on those devices.
