Yeah, I really don't need more than 8GB of memory. That's all I have in my machines at work and I have no problems running 2-3 VM's on top of my regular OS.

Sent out my Gigabyte motherboard to get a B3 replacement. I wonder how long the turn around is...

I used 4 gig forever on my 32 bit win 7 and now I've gone 64 with 8 gig and a 1090t and it seems about the same when just doing the net and normal type things, haven't really been able to do much gaming with the new setup yet but 8 gig seems fine.
Finally got a PSU that can handle my new to me 4870x2 so maybe I'll finally be able to stress it out a bit when I get Crysis 2 and maybe redo some of my Stalker Call of Pripyat.
My old Nspire 750 Xtreme, that is the OEM of the Thermatake tough power 750, would shut down every time a game loaded unless I slowed it way down or disabled the second core. Got a new Thermaltake Black widow 850 with a big single rail for 12 volts and no more issues. =D>
Of course I think more memory is always better, just like a faster multi core CPU is better but ya got to live within your budget just like I did when we slammed this new rig together so you should be fine and can always upgrade to more when a smokin deal comes around.

When I sent mine to Asus, it was 10 days including ground shipping time. Asus returned my mb to me via 2nd day air.

I'm tempted to see that Gigabyte board when it comes back and buy one of the new Z68 boards with Intel Smart Response Technology.

Not a bad case... I have a CM690 and like it... Got a Lian Li this go around and LOVE IT. But they are a little pricey.

I was looking at the Lian Li Lancool PC-K60 and PC-K58 but I couldn't find either at a decent price on Amazon. I had a bunch of gift cards to use.

I'm glad I went Intel this time around. So fast... yet cool and quiet. Weakest part of the system right now is the hard drive.

Looks like a nice mid tower case. I'm still using a original full tower stacker here and have it pretty much filled with Hard drives and opticals. The newer cases are so quiet and easy to work with now unlike my original Antec Value line full tower that sounded like a jet when on though for it's time it had all kinds of room and cooling options.
I do really miss having the motherboard tray though as it made mounting everything a breeze.

I was going to stick it in my old Chieftec case but with all the fans and stuff in it, it sounds like a jet.

I really like the cable management in the HAF 912. Makes it very easy to hide all the cables and junk I don't need.

Sandy Bridge socket 2011 all the way. its super cheap with an i7-3820 cpu and you get 8 ram slots
