Fullstream Technology from ATI

Does anyone knows if the sapphire version of the 9100 has fullstream support. Is there any way to enable fullstream support on the old 8500le?

Is fullstream software/driver based or it is a chip integrated into the card?

My advice: don't go with the Sapphire version, get the real ATI card. Secondly, take a hard look at the 8500, not the 8500LE. The 8500 is better in everything across the board, and it also has DVI, which the LE does not.

It supports fullstream, like all 9xxx cards.

Yes, you'll need a 9100 BIOS, but you can't download a modded BIOS at the moment, maybe in a few days....

It's software based (bios or/and driver). A Radeon 9100 is only a normal 8500

BigBen

I didn't find a 8500 cheaper than a geforce4 4200 which I consider to be a better buy, so I bought a 8500LE. Thanks any way Wizard, what I really wanted to know was about the Fullstream technology.

Take a look at Anand's Radeon 9000 Pro review.

Maybe you're right. I was on a hurry back then and needed the card fast. But really I didn't find an original 8500, all I found was a 8500vivo.

Umm, original 8500's have video in and video out. The connectors are called TV-Out and DVI.

I was looking one original 8500 without vivo, since the ones with vivo are more expensive.

Did it have TV-Out only, CignaXI?

It had video-in and video-out (VIVO) + DVI. They use the same S-Video conector for both functions, video input and output.
