so whats the fastest kinda ram??.. rambus?

Technically, I think RAMBUS is clocked the fastest, but I don't like it. It's not mainstream and it never will be. Stick with DDR.

and since my computer supports rambus.
am i alowwed to buy anything else like SDRAM and all that other stuff

I'm not an expert, but I think your motherboard and CPU dictates what kind of RAM you can use. DDRAM is faster than SDRAM. However, certain older CPU's only use either EDO or SDRAM. The new CPU's require the faster DDRAM.

I also think that some of Intel's chipsets and CPU's are the only ones that use the RAMBUS RAM. While on the other hand, Intel and AMD both use DDR RAM.

Don't count rambus out yet. They just got themselves into a legal nightmare and that hurt their reputation. Nothing on the market has the scalability and bandwidth of rambus and that will be true for quite some time. They just signed long-term contracts with some major players.
