if your finger is touching the mirror, but it is closer than it appears, your finger is actually inside the mirror but there is already matter inside the mirror and there is also a vacuum where your finger should be, so the fast moving particles of the mirror and your finger will collide and there will be much friction between them, some electrons will break loose and the loose electrons will hit more atoms and cause more electrons to break loose, causing a big chain reaction that just gets bigger and bigger....
