Looks a lot sportier than the 200SX Nissan had a few years ago. Of course that car was based on the Sentra.

Lets just hope it makes its way to the US.

The US will be getting a detuned version of that car.

In Japan this is called the Nissan Silvia. In New Zealand we will get the full power version of this car, but it will be called a 200SX! Except for used grey imports which will be Silvias! :o

Pardon my ignorance, but what does "detuned" mean? Thanks!

In this case it means that the car's engine, instead of being rated at 276 SAE horsepower will be less powerful in the US version. This might be to comply with the stricter exhaust emission rules that operate in the USA, or because of the lower quality gasoline available there, or a combination of these factors and others.

For some reason the US versions of most foreign performance cars are less powerful, watered down versions. I can name a few, like the Mistubishi Lancer Evolution 8 (pegged an Evo 5 levels in the US). The BMW E36 M3. The Acura RSX, etc. One notable exception is the version 8, Subaru Impreza WRX STi, which gets a 2.5L engine rated at 300hp in the USA, but is only a 2.0L, 276hp car everywhere else.

Robotnik is correct.

The US version will probably be somwhere in the neighborhood of 250-270HP. I will be no where near the 276 its rated at because the Nissan 350Z and the G35 series cars are in the 280HP range already. You simply can't have a lower tier model producing more HP than the flagship sports cars of the Nissan and Infiniti brands. Also the strict emissions standards of California will force Nissan to lower the engine output to meet those requirements.

Very nice, however too many cars as they get in my way! The traffic is getting worse with the population.

Road rage and sidewalk rage is getting more common and even a killing rage can occur.
