What kind of ring do you get the little lady. I have a Marquise Cut Diamond that I would use to ask Jen to marry me, when and if I ask her. I think I would ask her in the Early Fall. Or late Summer (like Aug/Sept)

Give it to her sooner than later.

You'll be glad you did.

Have you any ideas on how/when you'll ask her?

Congrats! :D

Well I would have to ask her dad 1st. I think I am more scared to ask him then to ask her.

But ya I have yet to find out how I would ask her.

but maybe...

I could make a scrap book of all the places that we have gone to, and things we have done. And then on the last page have a picture of the ring. and then BOOM ask her. (she likes to scrap book)

Marriage already?!?!?! :o

It seems like yesterday when you were here asking us to approve of the flowers and CD you were giving to Jen.

I'm with Buddha on this one, aren't you two moving a little fast? You don't want to rush marriage, believe me.

As for asking her dad first, kudos to that! It's nice to know you are an old-fashioned gentleman. :)

No harm in testing the waters in looking for a diamond. Although I think to do it properly you will need to wait and get the right diamond (wait until you've paid off your education, cars, and are financially stable, then find a really gorgeous rock).

You don't want to know how much I paid for my wife's diamond. That was way way too much than a practical person should ever spend on a single small purchase.

But hey, it makes the wife really happy, so it's worth it

----------------
PS. If I were you I'd choose a classic round brilliant cut stone, with a white gold (or platinum based upon your budget) band with baggettes (spelling?) on the side. Those are really popular, and are pretty timeless as well.

PPS. I can see you've spent some hard earned dough on your PC, which is definitely the right place to throw some cash!

Holy crap! Yeah...that's what I was thinking. Well, good for you! I'm glad things went the favorable way.

My wife is a very simple woman...not into the flash at all. I remember trying to talk her into letting me get her something along the lines of a carat and a half...got a big "hell no". My mom talked with her, showed her an heirloom diamond that's been in my family for ages...round cut...1 carat. She was cool with that...thank God. :D
