Has anyone ever RMA'd a drive to Buslink? Is their service good? Thanks in advance!

Hopefully, it is better than the rebate service that they gave UALkoneplus.

I probably won't either, especially if stores like BestBuy and CircuitCity continue carrying Lite-On.

Well, BusLink's RMA service isn't fast. It was 2.5 weeks after they received my broken drive before they shipped a new one. :(

On the other hand, I requested that BusLink ship me a Lite-On drive as my replacement (I had an AOpen before). In a reply to my e-mail yesterday, they confirmed that they shipped a Lite-On drive. The drive should arrive next week. :D

What drive is it? Or, if you don't know, what speed?

My original drive was a 52x24x52 AOpen. They didn't specify which Lite-On model they sent, but I assume it will be an LTR-52246S. I'll let you know which model it is when I get it; I should have it by Wednesday.

Yup, it'll be an LTR-52246S.

Good deal! Actually, that is the drive that I really wanted anyway when I bought the Buslink.

I just received the drive today, and it was actually an LTR-52327S! :D

Unfortunately, it seems that Buslink is now bundling ECDC instead of Nero with their drives, as that is the software they sent me with my new drive. It doesn't matter for me, though, as the copy of Nero that came with my 48125W (which is in the same PC as the two 52327S drives) works with the 52327S drives, too.

Unfortunately, Buslink sent me the drive without any form of anti-static packaging, but the drive does seem to work fine!

Awesome, they gave you a LTR-52327S, congrats!

Thanks!

BTW, I have updated my signature to reflect the addition of the new drive.

Hmmm, you should change it to say:

Proud owner of two Lite-On LTR-52327S CD-RW Drives. *Sentance structure brought to you by aviationwiz*
