CRAZY Shoe Auction

This eBay auction has been the talk of the shoe community for the last week or so. At first, everyone thought the auction was shady due to a lot of things stated in the auction that would draw a redflag when it comes to bogus eBay auctions. A few of the people I know talked to their connections at Nike and found out that the shoes and auction are indeed legit. Nike even sent me an e-mail advertising their auction. The price is really outrageous and you can buy a nice car with it. Your basically paying for Nike to make your own pair of shoes numbered 1/1. The ones shown in the auction will be shredded, therefore making the buyer having the only pair in existance.

The winning bid was $30,000.

Just think of how many Plextors you could have bought instead ;)
Oh well, at least now you'll have the hottest shoes in town, as long as nobody recognizes them and tries to mug you for them.

:)

I got most of them for very low prices after rebates, and got one with a PC.
They are spread across two PCs.
I actually sold a bunch (about 6 or 7) over the last few years too.

For example, I got one LiteOn 32X for less than free (-$18 after rebate, instant coupon and Price Match) a year and a half ago. I then sold it for $32 net after shipping, since I didn't need it.

I think half the people here have just as many drives as I do...

I have no intentions of buying any DVD or CD drives for a while now.

I am actually looking for a good quality surround receiver to replace the Nakamichi integrated amp I sold recently. It seem audio/video is taking up more of my spare time than PC stuff lately.

Imagine how fun it would be to find the buyer of these shoes actually wearing them....

...and then scuff them up.
