11.FORUM SURFER
Public Humiliation:50%
This person lives on the internet and comments on topics whether or not they know anything about the subject, sometimes to start a flamewar.Although there is no public humiliation offline that number is 100% when the forum surfer is caught in a lie and is flamed into exile.

Damage To Sex Life:50%
If the forum surfer is online all the time he/she will eventually find someone that is equally obnoxious, however the forum surfer will never meet a mate in the real world.

Distinguishing Characteristics:
Although highly opinionated the forum surfer is a basket case when it comes to a lengthy debate,he/she would rather say "whatever" or "I know you are but what am I?".You can tell a forum surfer by their signature which shows all the hardware on their PC.

I'm sorta #3; I'll never go to a convention (nerds!), but I do like 2 of the 5 shows (Enterpise/Voyager)...

Isn't a "Forum Surfer" the same as a Troll?

I don't think so.

Not necessarily:
A troll doesn't post.
A surfer could be a troll, but could also be a "regular" who posts frequently.

Isn't a "lurker" one who reads but does not post? A "troll" is one who posts with the deliberate intention of causing conflict and promoting flame wars. At least that is the way I have always used the word.

Funny story, actually, I don't like playing as a wizard much in D&D; I prefer more hand-to-hand combat. I originally picked my nickname from the classic 80's film starring Fred Savage, et al. My first ever D&D character was Herschel Walker Texas Ranger. Philadelphia Eagles and Chuck Norris fans should get the connection.

12. Optical Disk/Drive Geek
Public Humiliation: 50%
This person only cares about Optical Disks and Drives. They spend all thier time researching the topic, and spend much more money than needed on Optical Disk and Drive hardware.

Damage To Sex Life: 75%
If this type of person is in the real world, they will only talk about Optical Disks and Drives, and, of coruse, no one wants to listen to them talk about Optical Disks and Drives, of which no one knows anything about, or cares for that matter.

Distinguishing Characteristics:
Highly opinionated and liking thier own drives, or strongly disliking them, the Optical Geek can be found if they have at least 3 Optical Drives, or frequent sites like CDRLabs and CDFreaks.

Good one, Aviationwiz! I think you've got me there; I have three CD-RW drives in my main PC. :D

Well, I was aiming at getting every "regular" at these forums.

Heh Heh, check out the part I added:

"or frequent sites like CDRLabs and CDFreaks."

Only to guys. I don't think too many women come around here and the ones that do probably get scared away pretty quick.

I concur. I guess if I want optical drives to be a turn-on for women I'll have to hire a prostitute. :-? They'll do anything for the right price!

Hm... my wife almost owns me and I own several domains related to optical storage... but she hardly visits her own sites. :D
